The cable network will begin rolling out the videos at 8 a.m. ET Wednesday, adding one each hour, and Mashable reported that stop-motion animation creator Khoa Phan will create eight videos for the #RoadToTheVMAs campaign.
An MTV spokesperson told Mashable this year’s VMAs will have “the distinction as the first award show to ever announce nominations via these social media video platforms.”
This year’s VMA’s will be held Aug.
