MPA Loses Marketing Chief

Trade org executive was hired to go to bat for magazines

Magazines now have one fewer person to promote them. Andrew Jung, who was hired by the Association of Magazine Media (formerly known as MPA) to champion the industry, has left the organization after a little over a year.

Jung, a former Kellogg Co. ad and media executive, came to the trade association in August 2010 as part of a leadership shakeup. His role was to be an ambassador for the medium, promoting the value of magazines to advertising and marketing executives, but he didn't seem to make a big impression on them, according to sources.
