Motorola Droid Froyo (Android OS 2.2) Update Showed up on Friday the 13th

Last Friday was Friday the 13th and my day had been a series of problems. However, a bright spot appeared late in the night around 10pm. My Motorola Droid let me know that a system update was available. Yep, Android OS 2.2 (Froyo) had finally appeared for the phone that kickstarted the Android revolution. I plugged the Droid to an AC power source to make sure its battery didn’t die during a long upgrade process.
