  • An ABC release announced, “For the eleventh consecutive week, ABC’s ‘World News with Charles Gibson’ was the #1 evening newscast among Total Viewers, Households and Adults 25-54. Averaging 7.48 million Total Viewers and a 1.8/8 among Adults 25-54, ‘World News’ outperformed NBC by 640,000 Total Viewers and 320,000 key demo viewers. This marks ABC’s greatest Total Viewing and demo advantage over NBC in seven weeks (week of May 14, 2007).”

  • The AP reports, “A leading online measurement service will scrap rankings based on the longtime industry yardstick of page views and begin tracking how long visitors spend at the sites. The move by Nielsen/NetRatings, expected to be announced today, comes as online video and new technologies increasingly make page views less meaningful.”
