Final numbers are in and Tuesday night’s was the least-watched State of The Union since 2000. Nielsen estimates viewership at 31,710,349 on 13 networks. In 2000, Bill Clinton‘s final address drew 31,478,000 on seven networks. TVNewser CBS was the most-watched broadcast network for coverage of the State of The Union Address Tuesday night, as well as for post-address analysis. NBC News coverage was most-watched in the 10:30 p.m. half hour. TVNewser NBC News’ Facebook post on President Obama’s now-memorable line, “I have no more campaigns to run. CNN to Produce Political Game Show (TVNewser)
CNN is producing a political game show. The blocking and testing of the show is happening this week at CNN’s New York studios. NBC Turns to Tumblr to Post Super Bowl Ads After They Air on TV (Variety)
NBC Sports has launched a new Super Bowl page on Yahoo!’s Tumblr that the programmer will use to feature Super Bowl XLIX’s TV ads immediately after they air on NBC on Sunday, Feb. 1. The new NBC Sports Tumblr page, accessible via NBCSports.com/Ads, will be populated with original content ahead of Super Bowl Sunday created by the NBC Sports’ marketing media team, as well as from re-blogging NFL-related Tumblr posts.
