More Trouble in Detroit

Automakers aren’t the only industry undergoing changes in Detroit. Earlier today, Detroit Media Partnership — the organization that publishes Free Press and Detroit Newsannounced it would be making changes in the near future “to ensure two strong newspaper voices in the community.”

Specific details will come next week, CEO David Hunke said.

The papers are owned by two different companies — Gannett Co. and MediaNews, respectively — and have two different newsrooms but share a business side.
