Facebook revealed in advance of World Emoji Day Tuesday that more than 700 million emojis are used on posts on the social network daily, and more than 900 million emojis are sent without accompanying text every day on Messenger.
The social network added that the biggest day globally for emoji use on Messenger is New Year’s Eve, and the heart emoji is being used twice as much this year as it was last year.
Facebook is also marking World Emoji Day with a special camera frame and themed text background.
