Monthly Job Report Shows Weak Hiring; Unemployment Remains Unchanged at 8.2 Percent

There’s good news and bad news: The good? Well, it was a holiday week, hence staycations or vacations, it was time to rejoice!

And now the bad? The monthly jobs report was issued this morning and let’s just say things have remained pretty flat.

According to the Department of Labor data, employers added 80,000 jobs in June. This third consecutive month of weak hiring reflects the struggling economy.

Plus, the unemployment rate remained the same at 8.2 percent; keep in mind the addition of 80,000 jobs is actually an increase from the average of 75,000 jobs per month from April through June.
