Mobile Monetization Company Fuse Powered Acquires Corona Labs

Fuse Powered Corona LabsMobile monetization company Fuse Powered has announced it has acquired mobile app development company Corona Labs, the maker of the Corona SDK. Corona’s technology allows developers to build apps across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android and Windows, using a single code-base. Fuse Powered, meanwhile, helps game and app publishers increase their revenue with two products: AdRally and FuseBoxx.

Combined, Fuse Powered and Corona reach more than 200 million monthly active users and support more than 10,000 mobile game and app publishers worldwide. As a pair, the company will provide developers with a one-stop solution for developing apps and games, and then managing and monetizing their audiences after release.

The entire Corona team will join Fuse Powered and will continue to develop and support the Corona platform and its products.

“Corona helps publishers make great games. Fuse helps publishers understand their audiences and make more money in their games. In our industry today, it’s critical to have a smart monetization strategy built in with an intuitive, market-leading toolset and telemetry,” said Jon Walsh, CEO of Fuse Powered, in a statement. “I’m thrilled to have Walter [Luh, CEO or Corona Labs] and his incredible team combine forces with Fuse to extend our vision of providing an integrated platform that allows mobile publishers to be more successful with less hassle.”

Fuse Powered’s AdRally utilizes audience segmentation technology, which helps ensure the right ad is served to the right user at the right time. Its FuseBoxx product also focuses on user segmentation, and helps publishers analyze the behavior of app users and tune any aspect of the app to target users based on that behavior. FuseBoxx allows publishers to customize the user experience within an app or game without changing the overall integrity of the product, thereby increasing engagement, user retention and more.
