Michelle Obama Gets New Flack
Kristina Schake will flack for First Lady Michelle Obama. She’ll join the staff as Special Assistant to the President and Communications Director to the First Lady, reports news from the White House press office today. She starts in the East Wing in December.
Not surprisingly, Schake has experience in child nutrition. She worked in a California public affairs firm and has some first lady experience working for former California First Lady Maria Shriver.
This part of her bio must have been beautiful music to Michelle Obama’s ears: “Before forming her firm, she was the Director of the Governor’s Summit on Obesity and the Communications Director for First 5 California, which provides education, health care, child care and nutrition programs for the state’s youngest children.”
