Michael Wolff's Newser

A Web site called newser.com was just launched by ex-New York editor-in-chief Caroline Miller, Vanity Fair‘s Michael Wolff and Highbeam Research CEO Patrick Spain. Newser is setting itself up as a hybrid of Google News, Drudge Report and Digg — they claim to “select the day’s most important and most talked about stories from the 100 top news sources.” Their visual design also owes much to Gawker Media’s late, beloved Sploid.

But will the site work? A quick look around found numerous technical errors and a confusing, clunky interface.
