Facebook released an update to its Android Messenger application that incorporates the group-creation and message forwarding features in last week’s iOS update, but also adds conversation shortcuts.
Facebook released an update to its Android Messenger application that incorporates the group-creation and message forwarding features in last week’s iOS update, but also adds conversation shortcuts.
The shortcut feature allows users to create shortcuts to group conversations, in the form of floating Chat Heads, and to access those conversations without having to navigate through the Messenger app.
The social network described the updates to Messenger for Android on the app’s Google Play page:
- Groups: Now you can create groups for the people you message most.
