So what are the dangers on Twitter, exactly?
According to this infographic, there are at least seven major offenders. Here are a few highlights:
Account hijacking apps will completely take over your Twitter account, sending DMs, @messages, and other communication to your followers, sending them to phishing pages to try and steal their passwords.
There are also trending topic snatchers who take over a trending topic and replace the true links with those leading to a phishing site.
