Meet the Press Names Matt Rivera Senior Digital Producer

Matt Rivera joins Meet the Press as its senior digital producer, announced MTP executive producer John Reiss in a note to staff.

Rivera has been at NBC News since 2010, most recently as a senior video producer for “Since arriving at the Washington bureau from 30 Rock more than a year and a half ago,” writes Reiss, “Matt has helped change the way we leverage digital, from launching several OV news series and the ‘Trail Tapes’ podcast to using animation and our rich video archives to better explain the political process.”

Rivera’s work will touch on both the MTP broadcast and its digital iterations. “In addition to helping to shape the Sunday broadcast,” write Reiss, “Matt will work to advance our mission in extending the show past Sundays with a strong digital presence.”

Prior to joining NBC News, Rivera had been an adjunct professor at NYU as well as a multimedia producer and reporter at The Wall Street Journal.
