Meet The BBC’s (Allegedly) Rapey, HIV+ Radio Presenter

0205wrench.jpgMeet Nigel Wrench, 47, long time radio presenter for BBC 4. Openly gay and HIV-positive, Wrench once won a New York Radio Award for his BBC doc AIDS and Me. He’s also reported on, among other things, the terrifying spread of HIV in Russia.

He’s also facing rape charges after allegedly drugging and raping a 26-year-old male student he met at a party. According to the 26-year-old, he snorted lines of cocaine with Wrench in the bathroom of a South London party and was then invited home by Wrench at 4am to “see his art collection.”

When he visited Wrench’s home… that’s when he was slipped the Temazapam-spiked champagne.

Without detracting from the horror of this story, remember: Whether you’re male or female, straight or gay… if someone invites you to their house at 4am to see their art collection, they most likely have other things on their mind. That’s just a friendly public service announcement from us to you.
