Media Responds to Steve Bannon's Attack on Media

"Keep its mouth shut" isn't in the job description.

You would think that someone who used to be the chairman of Breitbart Media would want to defend the first amendment, rather than telling the New York Times in an interview today that the media should “keep its mouth shut.”

But then again, we can maybe see how Steve Bannon, someone who framed his former organization as a “platform” for a particular set of views, i.e the blend of racism, populism and white nationalism that is the “alt-right” would assume that all other media organizations exist to propagate a particular set of political beliefs or fulfill a political purpose.
