Media People Shuffle

There’s been a lot of shuffling back and forth today in the media world, so we thought we’d round up some of the notable moves:

Jim Frederick is re-joining Time as an assistant managing editor. He was most recently senior editor in London, but took two years off to write a book about one U.S. Army platoon deployed to Iraq. He now rejoins Time stateside. (FishbowlNY)

Emily Nelson has been promoted at the Wall Street Journal to editor of Personal Journal. She has 15 years of experience at the WSJ. (Talking Biz News)

The Associated Press has hired former vice president Nick Ascheim for the general manager spot at AP Digital. The AP also rearranged people in the company’s sales and marketing side. More at <a href="FishbowlNY.

And Bob Christie is leaving Dow Jones, where he spent the last seven years of his career, for the New York Times, where he’ll be senior vice president of corporate communications. (Romenesko)
