As the Asper family waits to see whether their bid to control Canadian newspaper chain Canwest LP is accepted by the group’s creditors, Canwest Global Communications Corp’s newspaper and publishing division president and CEO Dennis Skulsky has announced his resignation.

Skulsky said he made the “personal decision” to leave the company in order to spend more time with his family in British Columbia.
