McGraw-Hill Cuts 550
McGraw-Hill’s cut 550 jobs, or 2.8 percent of its total workforce. Most of those cuts are in its education segment, but 125 jobs were cut in its Information & Media segment which includes BusinessWeek and JD Power & Associates.
The Info & Media cuts were, a release says (scroll wayyy down), driven by ” shifting of resources to continue strengthening the company’s digital offerings, as well as the consolidation and automation of certain functions to enable a better customer experience, greater coordination and faster execution, all while mitigating the impact of the current economic conditions.”
