It’s Dan Sinker, a professor at Columbia College and founder of CellStories.net, a site that publishes for mobile devices. He’s also founder of a now-defunct punk magazine, Punk Planet, which played a role in his tweets. The Atlantic has a lengthy post detailing his identity and background.
For the most part, it sounds like Sinker is a writer with a singular voice who lives in a city with a singular politician.
