Maxim Magazine Chats With New York Sex Club’s ‘Chief Conspirator’

A good read.

Maxim magazine has incurred heavy losses over the past few years and made drastic changes to the masthead. But if they continue to publish articles like the one recently written by Zeynep Yenisey, there may be hope.

Under the headline “Inside New York City’s Most Elite Sex Club,” Yenisey intriguingly explains that NSFW is one of the city’s newest such establishments. NSFW was launched in January and runs things out of a penthouse on the Lower East Side. The reporter chatted (on an anoymous basis) with the founder and asked questions like this:

Who belongs to NSFW?

We focus on younger individuals, around 25 to 35. We’ve contracted a lot of CEOs, and a lot of individuals from the fashion world. We look for creatives, and people who are actually doing stuff with their lives. I think it’s very important that you have a story to tell, and if you’re interacting with people and trying to connect with people, it’s important that you live a life that’s interesting and fun.

Mr. “Chief Conspirator” says there are currently around 275 members and a wait list approaching 600. Dues are extremely reasonable and there’s also a digital publication, NSFW magazine:

We put the ink in kink. Members can access our archives featuring tales of adventurous deeds worth noting. We publish 30 articles each month which include playlists, videos, editorials and anonymous member confessions and tales of debauchery.

The June NSFW events calendar kicks off tonight with a “Touch Party.” There are also, as Yenisey explains in his piece, regular movie nights. The next one of those, June 9, will screen Magic Mike.
