Mashable Expands to India

The social giant grows.

Mashable is expanding its empire with the launch of Mashable India. The English-language site comes via a partnership with India.com, a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation (PMC) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises.

Mashable India’s editorial team will be based in Mumbai and New Delhi, with editorial oversight from Jim Roberts, Mashable’s executive editor.

Adam Ostrow, Mashable’s chief strategy officer, noted that India was a natural fit for Mashable.

“This intersection of technology and digital media with culture and society is what makes India such a natural place for Mashable to grow,” explained Ostrow.
