Manchester United Is Antisocial

One of the world’s most popular sports teams is banning its players from communicating with the world, as paidContent UK reports that the Barclays Premier League‘s Manchester United soccer club banned its players from setting up profiles on social-networking sites.

From the team’s Website:

The club wishes to make it clear that no Manchester United players maintain personal profiles on social-networking Websites. Fans encountering any Web pages purporting to be written by United players should treat them with extreme skepticism.

EPL Talk reported that the Twitter accounts of Darren Fletcher, Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney and the Facebook pages of Giggs, Rio Ferdinand and Wes Brown have been red-carded.
