Make Me Asian App Causes Uproar from Asian Community

There are a lot of terrible apps, but few have petitions for their removal. Such is the fate of the Make Me Asian app, whose petition for removal has garnered over 8,000 signatures on Change.org. Google only removes apps that violate their policy, which evidently does not include hate speed or negative cultural stereotypes.

The app is a simple photo manipulation app that allows users to take self-portraits and turn them into Asian caricatures. There’re also similar, stereotypical versions of the app from the same maker, including Make Me Indian (Native American), Make Me Fat, Make Me Irish, and Make Me Old.
