Magazine Publishers Of America Launch Magazine App Directory

The MPA has launched “mapps” (get it?) – a comprehensive listing of mobile apps produced by magazines and media companies. The directory was announced yesterday at the Magazines 24/7 event and intends to grow to include e-reader applications, including those for the upcoming iPad.

Currently, the directory features each app listed according to company, magazine, and app name along with a description, the types of device on which each app is available, and price. Most apps are either free or available for $.0.99, with the most expensive being Women’s Health‘s “Eat This, Not That,” coming in at $4.99:
