Magazine Growth Slow Through 2014

From the “Just About What We Expected” file (it’s right between “iPads Will Save Us All” and “Obituaries”) comes reports that magazine growth will remain slow through 2014. Folio: took a look at Veronis Suhler Stevenson’s annual VSS Communications Industry Forecast and spoke with VSS Structured Capital Funds partner Hal Greenberg about their findings. Not only will advertising continue to “struggle and, according to our forecast, will continue to decline,” but “we’ve already seen a lot of publications close and in the future we believe many industries will have one, maybe two, serving them.
