Lorin Stein Leaving FSG to Edit Paris Review

The Paris Review has named Lorin Stein its new editor, the company announced today.

Stein tells us he will be leaving his job at Farrar, Straus, and Giroux, where he worked since 1998. At FSG, Stein edited big names like Jeffrey Eugenides, Jonathan Franzen, Denis Johnson, Richard Price and James Wood.

Preceding Stein at the Paris Review was New Yorker staff writer Philip Gourevitch, who will go back to writing full-time, the Paris Review said.
