My guess is that AT&T would have massive customer defections if Verizon started selling an iPhone. In my opinion, the defection scenario is less likely if T-Mobile gets an iPhone unless T-Mobile offers much cheaper data plans and can beef up their new and relatively tiny 3G footprint.
