Longtime WINS Anchor Sandi Klein Takes Her Leave

Nearly two decades have passed since Sandi Klein first cracked the mic on 1010/WINS. Yesterday, after 13 years as an afternoon anchor, Klein pulled her last air shift at the station.

Since November 2010, as part of an on-air restructuring, Klein and veteran p.m. drive anchor Larry Kanter worked a newly configured midday shift from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

She went “off format” for a brief goodbye to listeners.

“More people get their news from 1010 WINS than from any other radio station in the nation.
