Local Stations Name New Community Affairs Director
Local stations WNBC and WNJU have named Ofelia Castiblanco their new director of community affairs for NBC Local Media New York and Telemundo 47.
Castiblanco, who started at WNBC as an intern, is taking over responsibilities currently overseen by the station’s VP of Press & Public Affairs, Anna Carbonell, who is retiring. Since 1989, Castiblanco worked her way up at the station to become manager of station relations for both WNBC and WNJU.
In her previous roles, Castiblanco has had to work closely with local and national community groups.
