Twitter Is Helping You Live-Tweet With Oscars Stars

Plan to watch the Oscars this Sunday? As is often the case with anything on TV these days, Twitter has you covered.

So if you want behind-the-scenes access to the stars, be sure to have your smartphone handy! (Or your dumbphone, whichever you prefer.)

Earlier, we shared Oscar predictions. Thankfully folks on Twitter won’t be deciding the winners, but they WILL be very vocal about what happens on Sunday – and so will the stars!

Twitter compiled a list of Oscar attendees who will be live-tweeting, including:

Helen Hunt, @HelenHunt (Nominee, Actress in a Supporting Role)
Kristen Chenoweth, @KChenoweth (Oscars pre-show co-host; performing at the Oscars)
Nina Garcia, @NinaGarcia (Marie Claire creative director, “Project Runway” judge)
Louise Roe, @louiseroe (Host, “Fashion Star” / NBC)
Krista Smith, @KristaSmith (Vanity Fair west coast editor)

And they also shared some “couch commentators” for your live-tweeting enjoyment:

Katie Couric, @katiecouric (Talk show host, “The Katie Show”)
Carl Reiner, @carlreiner (Actor, writer, producer, author… legend)
Dick Van Dyke, @iammrvandy (Actor, writer, producer, director, acapella aficionado… legend)
Evangeline Lilly, @evangelinelily (Actress)

Matt Roller, @rolldiggity (Writer, comedian)
Erik Griffin, @erikgriffin (Actor, “Workaholics” / Comedy Central)

And don’t forget to follow host Seth McFarlane (@SethMcFarlane) and Producer Neil Meron (@NeilMeron). They’ll be sharing “behind-the-scenes peeks at everything that goes into Hollywood’s biggest night.”

[And] the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (of “I’d like to thank The Academy” fame), the organizer of the Oscars, will be sharing awards news, presenter lineups, backstage photos, and all sorts of insider details via @TheAcademy.

Or you could bypass all of that and just follow the action from Twitter’s Oscars page.

Will you be tuning in and tweeting?
