Little Known Microsoft Cup Product & What's Behind Its Microsoft Tag

There’s a little know Microsoft mobile product that doesn’t have an official name that I know of. So, I’ll call it Microsoft Cup. It is a passive mobile device designed to deal with both hot and cold liquids. If you look closely at Microsoft Cup’s display surface, you’ll notice a Microsoft Tag square on it. Tag is Microsoft’s homebrewed alternative to bar codes and QR codes. It uses colored triangles to embed coded information. Microsoft provides free apps for Android, iPhone, and their own Windows Phone 7 that can interpret Tags.
