LinkedIn Will Revise Its Terms of Service Jan. 6, 2020

Events and the acquisition of Drawbridge will be added, and the cookie policy will be reorganized

Changes are coming to LinkedIn’s terms of service—impacting its privacy policy, user agreement and cookie policy—effective Jan. 6, 2020.

LinkedIn vice president and head of privacy Kalinda Raina provided three highlights of the upcoming changes in a blog post:

  • The language will be updated to reflect the global rollout of LinkedIn Events, which was revealed last month.
  • The professional network’s May acquisition of Drawbridge will be addressed.
  • And LinkedIn’s cookie policy will be reorganized to make it easier to read and understand, giving members more information on the technologies the professional network uses and ways they can control the data LinkedIn gathers about them.
