Did you know you can add extra security to your LinkedIn account by turning on two-step verification? With this feature turned on, you’ll need to enter a PIN the first time you sign in to your LinkedIn account on a new device or LinkedIn mobile application. Our guide will show you how to set up two-step verification on your account.

Step 1: Tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step 2: Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Tap “Privacy.”
Step 4: Scroll down and tap “Two-step verification.”
Step 5: Tap “Set up.”
Step 6: Enter your phone number and LinkedIn password, and then tap “Send code.” Note: If you need to select a different country code, tap the country code to the left of the phone number field to bring up a list of country code options.
Step 7: Once you tap “Send code,” you’ll receive a text message containing a six-digit verification code. Enter this code in the LinkedIn app, and then tap “Verify.” This will turn on two-step verification on your account.
How to Turn Off Two-Step Verification
If you ever want to turn off two-step verification, follow Steps 1-4 above, and then tap the toggle to turn the feature off.
