After quietly rolling out new ways for members to display samples of their work on the professional network, LinkedIn has released a slideshow and blog post to demonstrate how to create a Professional Portfolio.

Members can now upload documents and add videos, photos, and links to enhance the “Summary,” “Experience” and “Education” sections of their profiles. The new features are accessible by clicking the profile “edit” button and following the prompts in each section.

“From the analyst who makes annual predictions on tech trends to the 3D animator who is looking to fund a new short film, the opportunities are limitless for how professionals can now use the LinkedIn profile to help showcase these unique stories in a visual way,” wrote LinkedIn product manager Udi Milo in a blog post.

Professionals with a paper trail will also appreciate the opportunity to upload scanned copies of newspaper and magazine articles or other print work.
