Linkagoal: Achieve Your Goals Socially on Mobile

The Linkagoal app allows users to share their goals with the world and encourage others to complete their own.

Linkagoal, a goal-based social network, has officially launched on iOS and Android devices, following a successful Web soft launch which has reportedly attracted more than 800,000 users since mid-2014. The Linkagoal platform encourages users to create and share their goals with others, and connect to others for encouragement, especially if their goals are similar.

When adding a goal to the system, users give each entry a title, description and category placement. Other users can then browse these goals based on the category, from business and travel to animals, games and health (among others). Featured goals and a trending topic are also available for browsing through the most popular goals of the moment.

Users can post likes and comments on goals, with advice or general conversation, and if a goal requires it, users can post the necessary steps they’ll take to reach success. Linkagoal users receive badges as they participate in the app, and can follow others to keep track of interesting users or goals.

Mohsin Shafique, CEO and founder of Linkagoal, told us:

Linkagoal represents the next generation in social networking. By combining mobility and crowdsourcing, we are creating a curated, goal-oriented community that aims to help individuals make more meaningful connections. With the launch of our beta mobile app, users can now connect, track progress and cheer each other on throughout the entire goal-making process, while on the go.

The Linkagoal app will be updated with additional features later this year.

Shafique added:

This is just the beginning. We plan to launch several new features this summer, such as mentorship services, which enables mentors to connect with users seeking specific support, as well as goal campaign management, which allows brands to launch their own initiatives and connect with users to match, promote and better support goals with complementary services and products.

Linkagoal is now available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. The app isn’t the first to focus on life goals. Achvr, for instance, focuses on completing one’s bucket list and competing with friends on the “leaderboard of life.”
