With more than 40 million Likes, Lil Wayne is the 10th most liked musician page on Facebook. Fellow rapper Eminem is No. 1 with over 60 million likes, but has actually seen his PTAT fall, seeing 79,499 fewer engagements in the last seven days. Looking at Eminem’s page, there has not been an update since Aug. 31. However, in the last week, Wayne has published seven posts each receiving significant engagement. One of these received over 300,000 Likes and another received over 12,000 comments.

It is interesting to see the strategy Wayne’s publicists have taken in managing his Facebook page. It seems the page managers simply attach a photo to his tweets and make them Facebook posts. Wayne’s team likely chooses to filter out some of his more nonsensical tweets using Facebook as more of a promotional tool rather than a personal space for the artist to connect with fans.

Although boasting over 60 million likes, Eminem’s page is not utilizing his fan base on Facebook. By taking a look at the graph below, you can see the steady drop off in PTAT over the past few weeks, even though the number of new Likes per day has remained consistent.
