Le Huffington Post Heads to France

First foreign-language HuffPo launch

The Huffington Post is launching a French-language edition, in partnership with Le Monde Group and holding company Les Nouvelles Editions Indépendantes.

HuffPo’s editor-in-chief, Arianna Huffington, says that the new site—which will be called Le Huffington Post—will be up and running by the end of 2011. It will “be deeply rooted in French culture and run by French journalists,” she wrote on her blog. “It will, like France itself, have a very distinct personality—its own way of approaching the world.”
