Former Zynga CTO of Mobile Laurent Desegur goes to Game Closure

Zynga’s former CTO of Mobile Laurent Desegur has joined the HTML 5-focused game developer Game Closure.

Desegur is joining the studio as VP of Mobile Engineering and will manage all of the company’s mobile products. Prior to this, he worked at Zynga from September 2010 through March 2012 and was the CTO of Playfish Games from April 2007 through March 2009.

Ironically, it was reported in February that Game Closure turned down an acquisition offer from Zynga of approximately $100 million.
