Laurence Kirshbaum Hired to Run Amazon's Newest Publishing Imprint

Laurence Kirshbaum, the former head of Time Warner’s book division, has been named publisher of Amazon’s New York publishing office. He’ll be stepping down from his position with LJK Literary Management, the literary agency he founded not too long ago.

This announcement also marks the launch of a new imprint for Amazon, which will cover general trade fiction and nonfiction titles, in both print and digital formats. It also follows the announcement of a new imprint last week which will focus on mystery and thriller novels.
