LAT getting poddy
More bad news for LAT revenue and circulation; meanwhile, L.A. Observed reports that the audio segments from Ken Ellingwood about the Gaza Strip evacuation running on latimes.com this week are a first step towards daily podcasts of selected stories (such as Column One features).
The thing is, the written word functions differently from the spoken word, and I’m not sure that the Column One pieces– which are often the best-written features in the paper, and a pleasure to read– will really translate well into oral form.
