LAist Parent Company Gothamist Sold to Cablevision
Rainbow Media, the subsidiary of Cablevision that owns IFC and Sundance Channel, is rumored to have to have recently purchased the “Gothamist” blog chain for between $5 to $6 million.
Gothamist is the parent company of the excellent site “LAist,” as well as “ist” sites in New York, DC and San Francisco among other cities.
Gothamist founder Jake Dobkin will stay on for at least two years as part of the deal.
