LA Weekly's FOX-News-ish Mistake
Here’s a fun game. Read this passage from a 10/28 LA Weekly story on Prop. 23 and spot the bullpucky:
Many students are undocumented immigrants who can’t vote. Clapson, in fact, estimates that one-third of the LACC student body is here illegally. Others are not inclined to get involved in politics.
It’s bad enough that illegal immigrants are stealing our jobs. Now they’re stealing our education!
Except they’re not. What this Clapson fellow actually said was that about one third of the Los Angeles City College student population are not CALIFORNIA residents.
