L Mag Rips Village Voice For SNL Cover Story During Election Season, Endorses Democrats

While we enjoyed the Village Voice cover story on Saturday Night Live, the pocket-sized people over at the weekly L magazine make a fair point: What made the Voice run an SNL cover “on the eve of one of the most important midterm elections in the last 50 years”?

As such, the L offers its own endorsements. One problem: it’s a blanket endorsement for the Democratic Party:

“We feel that an accounting is in order for the decisions made in Washington over the last six years, an accounting the ascendant party has been unable, or unwilling to make.”

That a fiercely independent magazine would make a blanket anything is disappointing. But don’t worry, L, we read you for the listings.
