When Politico national editor Kristin Roberts announced last week she was resigning, it was out of a sense that national news sites like Politico “did not reach or represent an America that exists outside of Washington, outside of New York.” She continued, “In my next job, I want to be part of a newsroom that has the ability to speak to and serve a non-Washington audience too.” She did not yet have or disclose a particular destination.
