Department store chain Kohl’s teamed up with Snapchat on an augmented reality virtual closet earlier this spring, enabling Snapchatters to browse clothes from home via the messaging application.
Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, the inventory in that virtual closet pivoted to athleisure items for the many people working from home.
Snapchat’s AR Portal technology enables users to virtually browse a selection of Kohl’s athleisure products, and the app’s shoppable AR technology enables them to make purchases without leaving Snapchat.
