Kindle Library eBooks Now Available at US Libraries

Amazon just announced that it is expanding the library eBook beta-test from the 2 libraries in the Seattle area to include all Overdrive partner libraries in the US.

Kindle owners and Kindle app users can now check out eBooks from many of the over 11,000 participating libraries in the US – assuming the libraries support eBooks (my local library only does audiobooks). The new feature includes all the abilites that you love about your Kindle, including over the air downloads (apps and Wifi only), Facebook and Twitter integration, and the same note-taking and highlighting that you use with your own eBooks.

Wow.
