KFI's Mike Nolan Injured in Corona Plane Crash
KFI traffic reporter Mike Nolan was injured in a plane crash on Friday evening in Corona and was hospitalized in serious condition.
His Cessna 182 single-engine airplane lost power and crashed in a field near the Corona Municipal Airport. The crash left 3,545 Edison customers without power as the plane knocked out several power lines.
Nolan was traveling with a student pilot at the time — reportedly the nephew of KOST 103.5 program director Stella Prado. According to Neil Saavedra of KFI, Nolan “suffered several injuries, including lacerations, fractured ribs and a broken collar bone.”
