Karl Lagerfeld Guest-Edits Vogue Paris

Continuing an annual tradition started in 1973.

Lagerfeld, 83, was photographed for the black-and-white cover with Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose by Hedi Slimane, who until this spring was working for Yves Saint Laurent. The magazine’s deputy editor in chief Olivier Lalanne has nothing but high praise for Lagerfeld:

“Very articulate, very focused and quick—and with so much wit,” marveled Lalanne, deputy.
