Justin Kirk for the Insouciant Win

A picture worth about three times the BFCA's membership.

The word insouciant has been variously defined as:

– Showing a casual lack of concern; indifferent.
– A relaxed and calm state: a feeling of not worrying about anything.
– A person without cares or concerns.

Thanks to the folks manning the Critics’ Choice Awards Twitter feed over the weekend, we can now add this photo of Justin Kirk, who was nominated in the Best Guest Actor/Actress in a Drama Series category for the WGN series Manhattan.

From the slightly loosened tie to the clear-eyed stare to the Billie Joe Armstrong tunes likely still rattling around inside the actor’s head, this is awards season as it is meant to be taken measure of.
